Fr. Len Ratushniak, C.Ss.R. reposed in the Lord yesterday in Winnipeg. Fr. Len was a long-time beloved pastor of St. Andrew Church in Winnipeg's Point Douglas while also dedicating his time to ministry at the adjacent Welcome Home. He entered the Ukrainian Redemptorist Fathers and made his first profession in 1961. The Archeparchy celebrated Fr. Len's 50th anniversary of Priestly ministry in 2017. Before his death in Winnipeg on Sunday 27 September 2020, Fr. Len battled with cancer for several years.

The Yorkton Regional Coordinator of the Redemptorists in Canada, Fr. Michael Smolinski, C.Ss.R. shared the following information regarding the funeral services for the late Father Ratushniak....

On Wednesday, September 30,

- 1:00-4:00 p.m. public viewing at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church (160 Euclid Ave., Winnipeg) (A limited number of people will be allowed in the church for a short period of time because Manitoba's COVID-19 restrictions limit gatherings to 10 people.).

- Priestly Parastas service with Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak and the Winnipeg Redemptorist community (due to COVID-19 restrictions, this will be a private service)

On Thursday, October 1,

- Fr. Len's body will be transported to Yorkton

- 7:00 PM - Parastas Service at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church celebrated by Fr. Michael Smolinski, C.Ss.R. and the local Redemptorist community.

On Friday, October 2,

- 10:00 AM - Funeral Divine Liturgy at St. Mary's (Space will be limited).

- Burial will follow in the Redemptorist plot in the Yorkton City Cemetery.
