FESTIVAL OF CAROLS 2020 ФЕСТИВАЛЬ КОЛЯДОК

The annual Festival of Carols, sponsored by the Ukrainian Cultural and Education Centre Осередок, as well as Carpathia Credit Union, the Shevchenko Foundation, and the Province of Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg - was held this year at the Jubilee Place auditorium of the Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute.

It was a quick paced concert of Ukrainian Christmas carols and Shchedrivky performed by well known choirs and the bandurist chorus "Zoloti Struny" (Golden Strings).

The choirs included:

The St. Mary Protectress Cathedral Choir

Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus

Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral Choir, and the

O. Koshetz Choir.

Representing the Oseredok Board of Directors, Don Puhach brought greetings and spoke about the activities and accomplishments of the Oseredok.

The concert was attended by Winnipeg's two Metropolitan-Archbishops - His Grace Lawrence Huculak and His Eminence Yurij Kalistchuk.

One of the highlights was the concluding ancient Ukrainian carol "Boh Predvichnyj" (God pre-eternal) sung by all the singers on stage who were joined by the whole audience.
