6:00 PM Tuesday, November 7th Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Cathedral

A praying of Vespers on the eve of the Feast of the Archangel Michael where the candidate, Rev. Michael, according to the practice, declares his faith and makes oaths of loyalty to the Holy Father and to the Head of the UGCC in preparation for the next day's ordination.


6:00 PM Wednesday, November 8th at Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Cathedral

The candidate is led forward before the three consecrating bishops and the Church and is first ask to declare his beliefs in detail. The unique ritual for the ordination of a bishop in the Byzantine Ukrainian tradition traces back through the centuries and down to Apostolic times... the laying on of hands, the invocation of the Holy Spirit, the acceptance of the community. The Cathedral Choir and many guest clergy and faithful gathered in the large Metropolitan Cathedral will make it an experience to remember.


6:00 PM Thursday, November 9th at the Winnipeg RBC Convention Centre

Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg is pleased to announce, a Gala Celebration Banquet on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the RBC Convention Centre, Winnipeg, in honour of the Episcopal Ordination of the Very Rev. Michael Kwiatkowski.

Bishop Michael's last Eucharistic Liturgy in Winnipeg, before making his way to the Eparchy of New Westminster. It will take place at his former parish, but all are welcome.

Bishop Michael is formally installed as the 4th Bishop of the Eparchy of New Westminster.


10:00 AM - Sunday, November 19th -- Holy Eucharist Cathedral, New Westminster BC.

Bishop Michael is welcomed into the Eparchy of New Westminster at the Cathedral Church and begins his new ministry together with the Faithful of the Eparchy.


Accommodation: Special Hotel offers have been arranged for travellers in both Winnipeg and Vancouver, but these offers will be available only until October 17th and October 18th respectively. Therefore, those interested should contact the chancery committees in each city for details.
