AT PENTECOST ANGELUS MESSAGE & BLESSING, POPE FRANCIS APPEALS FOR NEGOTIATIONS TO END RUSSIA'S WAR ON UKRAINE

At the traditional noonday Sunday Angelus in Saint Peter's Square at the Vatican, on Pentecost Sunday 5 June 2022, Pope Francis, spoke about the horrific war that Russia continues to wage on Ukraine. The 100^th day of the war had just passed and the Holy Father was cheered by the crowd below when he repeated his heartfelt appeal that all those involved - the aggressor, but also those others who could do so much to help - would "not bring humanity to ruin! Do not bring humanity to ruin!"
