World Day of Prayer and Fasting for Peace in Ukraine and throughout the World

 

Pope Francis, moved by the unprovoked and senseless aggression of the Russian military toward Ukraine, called for March 2nd to be a world day of Prayer and Fasting for Peace in Ukraine and certainly throughout the world...

 

The Father and Head of the Ukrainian Catholic Church who remains with his people in Kyiv, issues daily messages and blessings from His Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection. For March 2nd, he called all to join in this prayerful effort and did not mince words as to the importance of why "prayer and fasting" (Matthew 17:18-21)

 

All Parishes of the Archeparchy and all the faithful are participating in the World Day on a local and personal level. However, the Ukrainian Catholic network Zhyve.TV has organized a full-day marathon of prayer events, reflections, song and readings.
