DEACON WALTER KNYSH AND WIFE ANNA KNYSH REPOSE IN THE LORD

Deacon Walter Knysh, "Gigi" passed away on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at Holy Family Nursing Home, and Dobrodika Anna Knysh, "Baba" passed away on Saturday May 29,2021 at the Health Sciences Centre.

We the family always called them Baba and Gigi, and never mom and dad. They lived their lives, as they passed on with dignity and grace. They were the best parents who gave unconditionally. The greatest gift they left us was their faith, and love for Jesus. They always said, "with God you have everything without God you have nothing."

They leave to cherish their memory daughter Mary, 3 sons Nick, John and Mike and their respective families.

A private family service was held for Gigi, and a similar private service was arranged for Baba. They are both interred at Holy Family Cemetery.

Son Nick notes that Deacon Walter, as many people, always regarded passing from this life in the Holy Week/Easter season as a special blessing. Deacon Walter received this blessing as the Lord called him home in Holy Week. While Anna, passed from this life during the celebration of the feast of Pentecost.

The family is grateful to Father Bohdan Lukie, CSsR for giving them both their last rites and conducting their services. They thank the Basilian Fathers for being dear friends to their parents. Special thank-you to Sister Darlene, Linda, and Brenda of Holy Family for their accommodating the two at Holy Family Home. Special heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Sacred Heart, the love, care, and patience you had for our parents will never be forgotten.

His Grace Metropolitan Lawrence and all the clergy and faithful of the Archeparchy express their condolences and pledge their continued prayer for the repose of their souls and for the family.

May their memory be eternal! Вічна їм пам'ять!
