May 01 2024

On May 1st, as many parishes begin the annual tradition of the daily "Mayivky" throughout the month of May, Join Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak for a special prayer and ceremony at a Winnipeg parish.

May 1st is also the anniversary of the special "Consecration of Canada and the United States to the Blessed Virgin Mary" that took place in 2020. [The Consecration ceremony in the Archeparchy of Winnipeg with Metropolitan Lawrence took place at St. Joseph parish church [Here].]

May 1st is also the date in 1773 when Pope Clement XIV issued a Vatican decree that the Miraculous Icon of Our Lady of Pochaiv was worthy of being crowned. Two crowns were sent from Rome to Bishop Sylvester Rudnytsky and he, together with Bishop Maximilian Ryllo, in the presence of a thousand priests and 100,000 faithful performed the coronation of the Icon outside the church in the open field. Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak will crown the beautiful copy of the Pochaiv Icon on May 1st with two beautiful crowns crafted by a parishioner.

YOU ARE INVITED! Please do come to participate via live-streaming available [HERE] at 6:30 PM on Saturday, May 1st.

Most Holy Mother of God, save us!
